
Mark Hindley is the new president of ECG, the association
logistics industry for the automotive industry,
and will lead the new board of directors elected on 4
June during the annual general meeting at which the
about 300 associates and partners participated. The former president, Wolfgang
Göbel, who is leaving the post after 24 years of service in the

was appointed honorary president in recognition of his
contribution to the activities of the association, a task that

Automotive, who previously held the position of vice president,

Lines, were elected for a two-year term. The others
members of the board of directors will remain in office for one year.
The following directors were re-elected: Serge Agneray (Groupe Charles
André), Artur Allende (Noatum Automotive), Costantino
Baldissara (Grimaldi Group), Mats Eriksson (AXESS Logistics), Ceren
Eker Güven (ANT Lojistik), Ömer Gürsoy (Gürsoy
Group), Johannes Alexander Hödlmayr (Hödlmayr
International AG), Neringa Jasiulioniene (MANVESTA), Jørgen
Lindgaard (UECC) and Nikos Paterakis (Neptune Lines). The councilors
Marc Adriansens and Krzysztof Szeligowski have resigned.
In his opening speech at the General Assembly and the
spring congress 2026 held in Istanbul, the new president
Hindley noted that the rapid growth of electric vehicles
offers great opportunities for the sector, "but the
long-term success of the sector - he specified - will depend
from the balance between innovation, competitiveness, safety and
