On the occasion of the informal hearings held yesterday at the
Labour Commission of the Chamber of Deputies for the conversion into
law of the decree-law of 1 May, Ancip, Assiterminal,
Assologistica and Uniport have delivered two amendment proposals
which - highlighted the associations representing the companies
operating in ports - offer the government the last chance to
include some port tasks among the strenuous jobs and for
establish the fund for the incentive for early retirement.
Emphasizing that port work is characterized by
physical intensity, exposure to specific risk factors
and shifts, the four associations have therefore asked the
government and all political forces an urgent intervention and no longer
postponed on two critical issues of the logistics-port system
which - they recalled - are shared by the
trade unions: the formal recognition of some
port tasks among strenuous jobs (Legislative Decree 67/2011); The
Establishment of the Retirement Incentive Fund
useful to encourage, among other things, the necessary turnover
and the reduction of the gender gap.
Strenuous work and retirement incentive fund -
explained Ancip, Assiterminal, Assologistica and Uniport - are
interrelated issues and both, as a matter of urgency, require a
coherent solution.
The representatives of the port companies have, however,
confirmed the interest in an urgent meeting with the Government for the
solution of issues deemed no longer deferrable.
