- In June the traffic of goods in the port of Singapore is
decreased by -1.3%

- In the first six months of this year the containers were equal
to 18.4 million teu (-1.8%)

Last month the traffic of goods enlivened by the port of
Singapore recorded the sixth percentage change in sign
consecutive negative being amounted to 48.1 million tons,
with a decrease of -1.3% on June 2021. Much more
persistent the negative trend of only containerized cargoes that is
in place consecutively for 11 months and that in June 2022 saw the
handling of 29.0 million tons of goods in containers,
with a decrease of -3.7% on June 2021, a change that is
however positive if this flow of goods is counted
in terms of 20' feet (teu) containers moved: on such
base last month's figure is almost 3.2 million teu,
with a growth of +1.7%. The
non-oil bulk traffic which stood at
1.4 million tons (-15.9%), while last month are
increased volumes of both conventional and bulk goods
oil companies totalling 1.9 million respectively
tons (+13.6%) and 15,8 million tons (+3.3%).-
- In the first half of 2022, the Asian port of call has
handled a total of 288.5 million tons of goods,
volume that represents a contraction of -3.2% on that of the
first half of last year and is very far from the
half-year historical record of 317.4 million tons marked in the
second half of 2017. In the first six months of this year the only
containerized goods amounted to 174.3 million tons
(-4.0%) and were made with a movement of
containers pairs to 18.4 million teu (-1.8%). In the field of
conventional goods traffic was 11.6 million
tons (+13.0%), in that of oil bulk of 92.9
million tons (-2.7%) and in the bulk segment of other
type of 9.6 million tons (-9.3%).

- In the second quarter of this year alone, the port handled
a total of 142.5 million tons of cargo, with a
reduction of -5.2% on the period April-June of 2021, of which 86.5
million tons of goods in container (- 5.1%) made with
a handling of containers pairs to 9,3 million teu (-1.0%),
5.9 million tons of conventional goods (+0.7%), 45.5
million tons of oil bulk (-4.3%) and 4.6 million
of tons of non-oil bulk (-21.4%).
