
Today in Naples, at the Congress Center of the Station	Marittima, in conjunction with the Naples Shipping Week, has	opened a two days of work on the occasion of the Forum of the	Functions of Mediterranean Coast Guard (MedCGFF), meeting	organized by the Italian Coast Guard on behalf of the	Directorate-General for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (DG MARE)	of the European Commission which also co-financed the project.	The objective of the Mediterranean Coast Guard Function Forum, chaired	in the previous edition from France and Morocco, is that of	facilitate cooperation on a wide range of issues such as	safety of maritime transport, environmental protection	marine, seeking solutions to problems common to the 24 countries	participants, sharing skills and best practices.
	
	The MedCGFF, born from an initiative promoted by the Guard	Italian coast in 2009 in Genoa, represents an important	opportunity to strengthen cooperation between all agencies	international operating in the Mediterranean Sea through the	sharing of experiences and practices useful to deal with the	changes affecting the maritime sector.

	In his speech, drawing up a balance sheet of the executive	national led by Mario Draghi, the Minister of Infrastructure	and Sustainable Mobility, Enrico Giovannini, recalled	that 'in the last 19 months the Italian Government has put in place	the role of the Mediterranean, the maritime sector,	of the economy of the sea, also strengthening the Coast Guard	Italian, an organization made up of men and women that I had	way to appreciate. We've made the Coast Guard even more	efficient, investing in means and infrastructures, with a view to	decades-long'.
