Il Census and Statistics Department di Hong Kong ha reso noti oggi i dati definitivi sul traffico merci registrato nel porto della città cinese nel quarto trimestre dello scorso anno e nell'intero 2002.
Nel periodo ottobre-dicembre dello scorso anno sono state movimentate 50,4 milioni di tonnellate, con un incremento del 13% rispetto allo stesso periodo del 2001. Sia gli sbarchi che gli imbarchi sono aumentati del 13% rispettivamente a 31,1 milioni di tonnellate e 19,3 milioni di tonnellate.
Nell'ambito degli sbarchi - ha precisato il Census and Statistics Department - il traffico di importazione e quello di transhipment sono cresciuti rispettivamente del 10% e del 20% a 20,8 milioni e 10,3 milioni di tonnellate. Nel settore degli imbarchi, le esportazioni e il traffico di transhipment sono aumentati rispettivamente dell'8% e del 18% a 8,4 milioni e 10,9 milioni di tonnellate. Il traffico merci di origine marittima è cresciuto dell'11% a 36,2 milioni di tonnellate, mentre quello di origine fluviale è aumentato del 19% a 14,2 milioni di tonnellate.
Nell'intero 2002 il traffico merci nel porto di Hong Kong è ammontato a 192,5 milioni di tonnellate, con una progressione dell'8% sull'anno precedente. Gli sbarchi si sono attestati a 119,7 milioni di tonnellate (+8%), gli imbarchi a 72,8 milioni di tonnellate (+7%).
Nell'ambito degli sbarchi, le importazioni sono cresciute del 5% a 81,4 milioni di tonnellate, mentre il traffico di transhipment è salito del 16% a 38,3 milioni di tonnellate. Negli imbarchi, le esportazioni sono diminuite dell'1% a 32,1 milioni di tonnellate, mentre il traffico di transhipment è aumentato del 15% a 40,7 milioni di tonnellate. Il traffico merci di origine marittima è ammontato a 138,3 milioni di tonnellate (+6%), quello di origine fluviale a 54,2 milioni di tonnellate (+14%).
Nel solo settore dei container, il traffico nel quarto trimestre del 2002 è stato pari a 5,1 milioni di teu, con un incremento del 15% rispetto al corrispondente periodo del 2001. Il traffico di container pieni è aumentato del 14% a 4 milioni di teu, quello di container vuoti è cresciuto del 20% a 1,1 milioni di teu. Gli sbarchi e gli imbarchi di container pieni sono aumentati rispettivamente del 14% e del 13% a 1,8 milioni e 2,2 milioni di teu. Nell'ambito degli sbarchi di container pieni, le importazioni e il traffico di transhipment sono stati entrambi pari a 0,9 milioni di teu, con incrementi rispettivamente del 6% e del 22% rispetto al quarto trimestre del 2001. Negli imbarchi di container pieni, le esportazioni sono aumentate dell'8% a 1,2 milioni di teu e il traffico di transhipment è cresciuto del 20% a 1,1 milioni di teu. Il traffico di container pieni di origine marittima è aumentato dell'11% a 3,1 milioni di teu, quello di container pieni di origine fluviale è cresciuto del 22% a 0,9 milioni di teu.
Nell'intero 2002 il traffico container è stato pari a 19,1 milioni di teu, con una progressione del 7% rispetto all'anno precedente. Il traffico di container pieni è cresciuto dell'8% a 15,3 milioni di teu, quello di container vuoti è aumentato del 5% a 3,8 milioni di teu. Gli sbarchi e gli imbarchi di container pieni sono cresciuti rispettivamente del 9% e del 7% a 6,9 milioni e 8,4 milioni di teu. Nell'ambito degli sbarchi di container pieni, le importazioni sono aumentate del 5% a 3,4 milioni di teu, mentre il traffico di transhipment è cresciuto del 15% a 3,5 milioni di teu. Negli imbarchi di container pieni le esportazioni sono cresciute dell'1% a 4,5 milioni di teu, mentre il traffico di transhipment è aumentato del 15% a 3,9 milioni di teu. Il traffico di container pieni di origine marittima è salito del 7% a 11,9 milioni di teu, quello di container pieni di origine fluviale è aumentato del 13% a 3,4 milioni di teu.
