Oceanfast to build ferries offshore WA Ferry tug and yacht builder Oceanfast has concluded a Heads of Agreement with its major Singaporean shareholder Keppel Singmarine Dockyard to build an 80 metres hull roll-on-roll-off ferry. It is proposed that this agreement form the basis for a new mega-ferry program involving a range of new designs for mono hulls from 80 metres through to 120 metres.
Shipbuilder to favor monohulls Oceanfast's new venture into a large ferry construction program with Keppel Singmarine Dockyard could see such vessels being built in Western Australia in two years, according to the company's chief executive John Farrell.
