- Sharp increase in the half-yearly turnover of terminal operators

- The turnover towards Italian customers is in
growth of +20.3% and towards the foreign one of +12.9%

 In the first half of 2022 the turnover of operators
Genoese port terminalists has been growing in the
+20.3% as regards the turnover towards customers
Italian and +12.9% towards the foreign one. This was announced on
Centro Studi di Confindustria Genova in its latest report
on "Economic indicators of the Metropolitan City
of Genoa", in which it specifies that for this sector the prices
are indicated up by 6.3%, gross margins are strong
expansion and employment grew by +1.2%. This in the face of
a total traffic of goods in the port of Genoa that in the first
five months of 2022 increased by +6.9% compared to the
same period last year, with conventional goods and
containerized that have risen in tonnage respectively of the
+5.1% and +6.2%, solid bulk grew by +11.9% and
liquid ones of +12.9% thanks to the strong recovery of the traffic of
vegetable oils and wine (+45.3%), while the slowdown in
industrial production is reflected in the data of the function
industrial of the port, with the steel traffic in decline of the
-4,4%.-
- With regard to the logistics and transport sector, the
Centro Studi di Confindustria Genova notes that the increases are
instead moderate, with a + 0.6% of the national component of the
turnover and a +1.1% of foreign turnover, while gross margins
are up by +2% and the expansion of the workforce
limits to +0.4%.
