Another Kooragang expansion The Kooragang coal terminal at the port of Newcastle is to undergo a $345 million expansion. The board of Port Waratah Coal Services has approved the expansion which will be performed in two stages and increase the capacity of the facility by 23 million. The initial investment will expand capacity by 12 million tonnes per annum, a 16 per cent increase.
