- In the first quarter of 2022 the traffic of goods in the
Civitavecchia port grew by +14.3%

- Recovery in the passenger sector
-
 In the first quarter of 2022 the port of Civitavecchia has
handled more than 2.5 million tons of goods, with a
increase of +14.3% on the same period last year as well as
with a growth of +35.0% on the first quarter of 2020 when
the first effects of the coronavirus pandemic on the
port activities and an increase of +6.8% on the first quarter
of the pre-pandemic year of 2019. In the first three months of this year the
goods on landing alone amounted to 1.6 million tonnes
(respectively +9.2%, +30.5% and +4.5%) and those at boarding at
945 thousand tons (+24.1%, +43.4% and +11.0%).-
- In the miscellaneous goods segment alone, the total figure is
state of 1.6 million tons (+10.5%, +21.4% and +1.9%), of which
1.4 million tonnes of rolling stock (+13.3%, +24.1% and +9.3%) and
230 thousand tons of containerized goods (-5.4%, +6.9% and -28.4%)
totalized with a container handling equal to 28 thousand teu
(+13.3%, +6.5% and -22.0%). The growth of
solid bulk that stood at 803 thousand tons (+32.2%,
+90.8% and +11.7%), while liquid ones fell by
-16.0% having been equal to 151 thousand tons (-1.7% on the first
quarter of 2020 and +47.2% on the first quarter of 2019).

- In the first quarter of this year, passenger traffic
shown a recovery compared to the period of the health crisis: the
traffic figure for liner maritime services was
112 thousand passengers (+34.0%, -6.0% and -32.9%) and that of traffic
of cruises of 58 thousand passengers (+460.5%, -66.4% and -72.0%).

- In the first three months of 2022 the ports of Fiumicino and Gaeta,
also managed by the Port System Authority of the Sea
Tyrrhenian North Central, have enlivened respectively
462 thousand tons and 453 thousand tons of goods, with increases
respectively of +18.9% and +22.3% on the corresponding period of the
2021.
