- Seventh consecutive quarter of record revenues for CMA CGM

- New maximum values also recorded by the other main ones
items in the income statement. Declining fleet volumes transported
by -2.8%

As in the previous six quarters, even in the first
three months of 2022 the French CMA CGM shipowning group has
raised again the record of quarterly revenues having
totaled a turnover of 18.22 billion dollars, with a
increase of +69.9% on the same period last year, value
which was achieved thanks to the record turnover recorded
and containerized maritime transport activities
operated by the group which amounted to 14.85 billion
dollars (+73.2%) both from logistics activities that is
amounted to 3.39 billion dollars (+57.2%).-
- For the other main items in the income statement, the values
marked in the first quarter of 2022 have also reached new
record as it happened as in the previous five quarters.
This also happened to the operating costs that in the first
three months of this year amounted to 9.34 billion
dollars (+24.0%), of which 2.76 billion in transport charges
feeder and inland (+51.0%), 2.15 billion in expenses for the
handling and storage of loads (+7.3%), 1.35 billion
employee benefits (+16.1%), 1.30 billion in expenses for
fuels and other consumer products (+45.2%), 436.4
million in expenses for the purchase and rental of slots (-2.5%), 431.0
million general and administrative expenses (+7.3%), 410.3 million
port and transit charges (+0.4%) and $370.8 million
expenses for containerized equipment and their
repositioning (+29.2%).

- EBITDA was €8.87 billion
dollars (+178.6%), with a contribution of 8.54 billion from shipping
containerized (+187.0%) and 250.1 million from activities
logistics (+45.7%). Operating profit amounted to 7.62
billion dollars (+209.6%), with contributions of 7.50 respectively
billion (+210.2%) and 103.4 million (+162.4%) from the main segments
of the group's business. Pre-tax profit was 7.34
billion dollars (+244.0%) and net profit of 7,21 billion
dollars (+245.3%).

- If in the first three months of 2022 financial performance has
set new records, the group's operating activity has
instead shown, as in the two previous quarters, a
contraction: the volumes of containerized cargo transported,
in fact, they were equal to 5.30 million teu, with a
decrease of -2.8% on the first quarter of last year.

- As of 31 March, the CMA CGM group fleet was established
from 580 ships for a total carrying capacity of
about 3.3 million teu which is the third in the ranking
worldwide containerized shipping companies. It is
of 205 owned ships, 340 chartered and 35 not registered
in the assets of the company. The group has a
order book including 69 other container ships,
including 44 properties.
