 The Venetian Alessandro Santi was confirmed today
President of the National Federation of Agents, Recommenders
seafarers and maritime mediators from the shareholders' meeting held in
Rome. Commenting on the start of his second term at the helm of
Federagenti, Santi pointed out that "maritime agents
have demonstrated in recent years an exceptional and unique ability
of adaptation and integration by responding to changes in the
market structure, with even profound transformations in their
professional characteristics and in the relationship with the owners and the
shipping companies. Now - he added - they are called to
actively participate, with a propulsive role also in the debates
in place relating to the new infrastructure of the ports,
logistical connections and a relationship, not always easy, with the
institutions'.
