In the first seven months of this year, maritime traffic in the Straits of Malacca and Singapore was 54,563 ships, with an increase of +7.2% over the corresponding period of 2023. Among the Main types of ships transited in the important road of water worldwide, there were 14,211 container ships (+1.5%), tanker ships 11,907 (+3.3%), bulk carriers 11,535 (+13.8%) and very Large Crude Carrier 5,622 (+2.9%).
