  • Port de Bruxelles: la voie est libre pour le développement du centre TIR
    Le Port de Bruxelles est désormais propriétaire d'un site d'une superficie de 9 ha qui jouxte le centre TIR et qui appartenait jusqu'à présent à la SNCB, a annoncé hier le ministre bruxellois des Travaux publics et du Transport Jos Chabert. Ce site doit accueillir de nouveaux magasins pour des activités logistiques et de distribution qui répondront aux normes les plus modernes en la matière. L'autorité portuaire part à la recherche des partenaires privés qui pourront donner forme concrète à ce projet. Le port a également racheté à la SNCB un terrain de 1,6 ha sur la rive droite de l'Avant-port. Il y sera procédé à un remembrement pour parvenir à des concessions offrant une plus grande profondeur d'arrière-quai, mais il restera suffisamment de terrains pour accueillir de nouveaux trafics. Des négociations ont déjà commencé à ce sujet avec plusieurs clients potentiels. Chabert a également annoncé que depuis le 1er janvier dernier, les entreprises implantées au port de Bruxelles ne paient plus que 1 centime par tonne-kilomètre pour le transport de marchandises par eau, ce qui doit donner une impulsion supplémentaire au transport par ce mode.
